Welcome to Cafe Stepping Stone Strathnairn, a charming art café nestled in the picturesque landscape of ACT 2615, Australia. With easy access from Stockdill Drive, this delightful café invites you to enjoy a uniquely soothing experience that seamlessly blends the pleasures of gastronomy, art, and nature.

As you step inside, you'll be embraced by the warm and inviting atmosphere, perfectly complemented by the friendly smiles of the staff. The cozy cottage setting, adorned with art displays, creates a nurturing environment ideal for families, friends, or solo visits. Whether you choose to dine indoors or settle into the delightful outdoor seating area with spectacular views (where, if you're lucky, you might be greeted by the local horses), every moment at Cafe Stepping Stone feels special.

The café boasts a menu that tantalizes the taste buds with an array of homemade sweets and warming beverages. Indulge your sweet tooth with their delectable Burnt Basque Cheesecake at A$9.00 or savor a slice of moist Lemon Drizzle Cake for A$8.50. If you're a fan of classic treats, the Carrot Cake (A$9.00) is a must-try, as noted by satisfied patrons like Jo-Anne Lee, who cherished a delicious lunch paired with a slice of this delightful cake.

For those opting for savory delights, the café also offers a selection of vegetarian dishes that have captured the hearts of visitors, like the much-praised mushroom pie. As Paul McMahon shares, the combination of hearty vegetarian fare, expertly brewed espresso, and the inviting ambiance creates a dining experience that many find themselves returning to.

The beverage menu is equally impressive, featuring an assortment of drinks, from classic Espressos and chai lattes to delightful milkshakes in flavors including vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. Picture yourself sipping a creamy Hot Chocolate or indulging in a strong, rich Mocha, all while enjoying the café's soothing vibes.

What's more, the cafe's commitment to quality food and presentation has not gone unnoticed. Fazle Rabbi, a delighted guest, celebrated the exquisite menu items and urged the café to keep wonderful options like the sourdough and dips available regularly — a testament to the kitchen's creativity and flavor mastery.

Whether you're seeking a peaceful escape for a mid-morning coffee, a fulfilling lunch surrounded by art, or a cozy spot for a birthday celebration as Annette Gray experienced, Cafe Stepping Stone Strathnairn promises an experience that nourishes both the body and soul. With its delightful offerings, vibrant community atmosphere, and picturesque surroundings, it’s a must-visit destination that will leave you with lasting memories.

Hi everyone my name is Paul McMahon I do google reviews for cafes, restaurants, hotels, and small businesses in Canberra and surrounding districts. I recently went to " Cafe Stepping Stone Strathnairn," and had a delicious vegetarian dish, carrot cake and Espresso coffee all three where absolutely delicious . This is a family friendly Cafe with great staff and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. After finishing my lunch I had time to look at the artwork that was on display and also the craft shop which is attached to the Cafe. There is plenty of parking available and the Cafe is wheelchair friendly. The Cafe and craft shop is set on a farm like setting and also accommodates artists that sometimes do artists in residence. This establishment is well worth a visit. I give "Cafe Stepping Stone Strathnairn," 10 out if 10. Kind regards, Paul McMahon.

Beautiful cottage setting with wonderful views at the outdoor seatings. If you’re lucky the horses there will come to greet you. No dogs allowed though, probably because of the other farm animals nearby. Food’s simple yet made well.

Very much enjoyed lunch at Stepping Stones cafe. Mushroom pie then a lemon drizzle slice of cake and real tea in a pot with a gorgeous view to boot. Friendly staff and nice gallery/ shop to browse

A birthday celebration for friends on a cold sunny Canberra Sunday. The atmosphere was friendly and warm, the service efficient despite the busy day. The whole experience is one I will be happy to recommend to others. I booked in advance - a wise move to guarantee a table inside.

The food is excellent. This is one of the best dining experience I had. And I must admit the entire presentation of the food and experience was beyond my expectation. Please have the sourdough & dips available in regular menu. It tastes amazingly delicious.

Recently our local Soroptimist club enjoyed a delicious brunch at the Stepping Stones cafe at Strathnairn. Sixteen women enjoyed tasty vegetarian food served by friendly and attentive staff. We learned a lot about helping girls and young women from our guest speaker from Circle of Women. A great vibe indeed!

You feel like you've been transported to a rural farm setting, one where you can enjoy delicious, inventive food (which is vegetarian, vegan or vegan optional) whilst admiring the garden and views and listening to the birds if you are seated outdoors. Service is attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the green Reuben toasties, the mushroom pie and the larb. What a charming place, made even better by being a social enterprise for refugee and migrant women.

We always love our time here. Such a great place to unwind, have coffee, read a book, spend time with friends and family, amazing views, kind people, you can really feel the warmth in the air. They are a social enterprise as well, I suggest to read more about them in their website. A really great initiative and I think they won Australian Award of The Year or Canberra Awards or something. Highly recommend to visit, and then have a walk in Ginninderry, or vise versa.
